The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus Supports CannaKids Patients with Raffle

Everyone already knows that Norman Reedus's character in The Walking Dead is the epitome of badass and sweetheart rolled into one ball of the gruff motorcycle-riding, crossbow zombie slayer.

What you may not know is how he's currently showcasing a unique and enticing way to support young cancer patients via the CannaKids organization. Posting a tweet, Reedus announced that he is doing a charity raffle via YouCaring wherein the proceeds will go to the organization.

"For every $5 you donate, you'll get 1 entry into this raffle to win 1 of 10 amazing prizes chosen & autographed by Norman himself!!"

Like any raffle draws, the winners will be randomly selected. There are no specific details on what the prizes are, but Reedus's tweet does hint at some of them. There's Daryl Dixon figure, fleece blanket, a possible shirt, some cards, and other accessories.

The campaign will end on Jan. 11, 2017. Winners will not only get one of the items, but will also be announced on Reedus's own Facebook page on the week of the draw.

Reedus's campaign supports CannaKids, which is an Californian organization that makes use of cannabis oil therapy to treat patients with cancer, epilepsy autism, and other conditions. The goal is to give them relief from their ailments, particularly with aid for medicines that are very expensive and outside of benefits coverage.

This is a very nice gesture, and one that will hopefully spring more people, celebrity or otherwise, to keep supporting as many charities in creative ways.
