The Statesman Are Named After Drinks In Character Posters For Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Next month will see the follow up to Matthew Vaughn's surprise hit, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kingsman: The Golden Circle. A whole new bunch of characters will be introduced in the film—as well as a new villain—and we have some interesting character posters coming out for the movie.

What's interesting is that the Statesman's code names are actually different alcoholic drinks like Channing Tatum being called Agent Tequila and Jeff Bridges codenamed Agent Champagne. I also think it's absolutely cute that their gadget expert (played by Halle Berry) is called Ginger Ale.

Fans who saw the first Kingsman will remember that they get their codenames from members of King Arthur's round table, with Eggsy keeping Harry Hart's title of Galahad, and Mark Strong's character named Merlin. Colin Firth's Harry also gets his own poster, but his title is now ‘Former Agent Galahad.'

There's some mystery surrounding Julianne Moore's villain Poppy, but I think the bowling balls and pins on her character poster are supposed to be a reference to her work on The Big Lebowski. Guess we'll just have to see when the movie comes out if I guessed right.
