The Rise of Skywalker's Richard E. Grant Joins Loki Series

Richard E. Grant had just landed a huge role when he was cast as General Pryde in The Rise of Skywalker, but now it looks like he's moving on from Star Wars and is now starring in a Marvel series.

According to Discussing Film, Grant has now been cast in Disney+'s upcoming Loki series. We don't have any details on who he'll play yet, but some are guessing that Pryde could be playing Kang the Conqueror, who is said to be making his debut in the show.

In the comics, Kang is a time-traveler who uses his knowledge of the past and future for domination. He's one of Marvel's most notorious villains. What's also interesting though, is that there's a young version of Kang that tried to escape his evil future, and went back to the past and became a young Avenger in the form of Iron Lad.

Again, Grant playing Kang is just a guess, but if he's going to play someone in a series, he may as well play a good villain. He certainly has the experience, and Marvel is still short when it comes to the villain department.

For now, the Loki series is still undergoing production. Hopefully, the Coronavirus Outbreak won't hinder shooting moving forward. Even The Falcon and The Winter Soldier had shut down production in Prague to make keep everyone safe from the spreading virus.

For now, Loki is set to hit Disney+ in the spring of 2021.
