The Man Who Killed Don Quixote Is Finally Coming to Theaters, New Trailer Released

It has taken decades for Terry Gilliam to make his passion project The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, and though the movie had premiered in last year's Cannes Film Festival, only now is it moving forward with a major theatrical release. To commemorate the wide release of the film, Screen Media Films has released an all-new trailer featuring Adam Driver and Jonathan Pryce.

Originally started in 1989, The Man Who Killed Don Quixote was met with a lot of production snags that the movie was only able to complete by 2017. There was so much money thrown at the project that there was even a documentary made on how disastrous the production was called Lost in La Mancha.

When the movie first came out last year, a lot of reviews have come to say that it was underwhelming—a shame seeing that there was so much passion with Gilliam to get the movie made. Before Adam Driver was even cast in the role, he was supposed to be working with Johnny Depp back in 2000.

Personally, I think the trailer still looks amazing, and Jonathan Pryce is acting the hell out of this film. You'd forget that he played the High Sparrow in Game of Thrones.

Besides Driver and Pryce, the movie also has appearances from Stellan Skarsgard, Olga Kurylenko, and Jordi Molla. Not to mention we have some fantastic production value that's the trademark of any Gilliam film.

Catch The Man Who Killed Don Quixote in theaters April 10.
