The Legend of Korra Graphic Novel Has The Kiss Fans Have Been Waiting For

Fans of the LGBTQ community rejoiced when The Legend of Korra ended with Korra and Asami lovingly looking into each other's eyes, as they ventured the spiritual realm. Not soon after, the creators confirmed that the two were indeed getting together, which got even more praise from fans. While we may never see them kiss on our TV screens, the "Korrasami" ship lives on in the Dark Horse Comics graphic novel The Legend of Korra: Turf War - Part One, which is available now.

The graphic novel actually starts with a montage of the past four seasons, catching longtime fans up on previous events. After their journey in the spiritual realm ends, Asami tells Korra "before we go, there's one last thing I want to do in our vacation," which leads to the kiss fans have been waiting for.

It's a relationship many fans have been wanting, since the two always seemed to shared great chemistry in the show. Both characters were always very supportive and trusting of each other, which made many fans want to see them together. Plus, Korra's previous relationship with Mako felt forced, so everyone was relieved when the two broke up by the end of the second season, though they did remain friends.

Written by Legend of Korra co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino and drawn by Irene Koh, it's clear that The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars - Part One is a must read for fans of the show. Here is hoping that DiMartino pulls off the romance in the graphic novel well, since neither Korra nor Avatar: The Last Airbender did.
