The Flash Movie’s Iris West Talks Director Exit

When news broke that DC's The Flash movie is once again in need of a new director, things started to look a little bleaker for what could be the saving grace of DC films.

Now, actress Kiersey Clemons is also expressing her disappointment at what happened. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Clemons revealed that this was one of the more upsetting things about the production.

"Rick was one of the main reasons I wanted to do the movie. So him not being a part of it is obviously very upsetting to me."

Famuyiwa and Clemons have already worked on a previous project together, which was last year's Dope. However, even with this departure, Clemons is still very much excited about being in the film as Barry Allen's love interest and best friend Iris West.

Clemons stated that she and co-actor Ezra Miller, who will be playing The Flash/Barry Allen, are still very much onboard with the movie. Clemons even went a step further and stated that "no matter who the director is," she will still be portraying the Iris based on her interpretation of the character.

From the looks of it, even Clemons is not yet aware of who the possible replacement director will be. The company has not yet announced who will be overtaking Famuyiwa on the project either, but the timing is very crucial.

The Flash is scheduled to be released on March 16, 2018. In fact, the movie has already been moving forward following the departure of first director Seth Grahame-Smith. Production was supposed to start on March 2017, but we still have yet to hear if there will be any changes with the timeline.
