The First Trailer For The Dark Tower is Finally Here! Idris Elba vs. Matthew McConaughey is On!

The first trailer for The Dark Tower movie is finally here! Matthew McConaughey was right, y'all. After years of dead-ends and rumors, the film adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower is finally coming, and a new 3-minute trailer has been released to get you hyped for this epic movie.

In the trailer, we see Jake Chambers (Tom Taylor) discovering a gateway into another world, where he finds himself in the middle of a battle to save the entire universe

Roland Deschain (Idris Elba) is a gunslinger who faces off his mortal enemy known as the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey). This is definitely one of the most highly-anticipated films in my list right now. Not only does this film look like it has a lot of cool action sequenes, but it also has a spirit that will probably make us emotional.

Synopsis:

The last Gunslinger, Roland Deschain, has been locked in an eternal battle with Walter O'Dim, also known as the Man in Black, determined to prevent him from toppling the Dark Tower, which holds the universe together. With the fate of the worlds at stake, good and evil will collide in the ultimate battle as only Roland can defend the Tower from the Man in Black.

Based on the series of novels by Stephen King, The Dark Tower is directed and co-written by Nikolaj Arcel, and stars Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey. The film serves a sequel to the novels, continuing the cycle described in the novels into its next iteration. It will be released in theaters on August 4.
