The Crucial Moment You Might Have Missed From The Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 6 Preview

Warning: Possible spoilers ahead.

It's hard to accept that there's only a couple of episodes left for Game of Thrones Season 7, and if you think every likeable character is safe until the finale, you're most likely wrong. HBO already released the preview for the untitled sixth episode this season, and if you've already seen it, you might want to watch it again.

There's a quick shot of The Hound crushing the skull of a dead guy in the preview (see it at the 0:31 mark).

At first glance, it seems like a fun and simple shot of just Sandor beating up the dead, but there's actually a worrying clue that fans will notice.

Redditor pepperedpete pointed out that the weapon Clegane is wielding could mean that something tragic happened to another member of the party.

It's clear that The Hound using a hammer in that shot, but is it really Gendry's?

Some people don't think so.

If The Hound is wileding Gendry's weapon at some point in the next episode, it could mean that Gendry is weaponless, and it's probably because he's already been killed.

Just before the shot of Sandor wielding a hammer, there's also a shot of him standing with his team in the circle - and this time he's wielding a sword. So we know at some point that The Hound will ditch his sword and exchange it for what could be Gendry's ax. Gendry's role is pretty minor in the show but seeing him immediately go without reuniting with Arya again might make many fans sad. Do you think he's actually wielding Gendry's hammer? Check out the teaser again below:

Game of Thrones is set to air on HBO this Sunday 9 p.m. EST.
