The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It Trailer Sends the Warrens on Another Demonic Possession Case

We're getting yet another movie about demonic possession. The first trailer for The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It has just been released and it brings back Ed and Lorraine Warren to help solve a real-life murder case.

The trailer opens with a young man being spotted walking aimlessly by a policeman. When asked to stop, the man turns around and reveals he is covered in blood. "I think I hurt someone," he confesses.

It doesn't take long before the Warrens show up as we see that the man named Arne Johnson is being charged with murder. Interestingly, Ed Warren takes the stand and drops a surprising statement: "The court accepts the existence of God every time a witness swears to tell the truth. I think it's about time they accept the existence of the devil."

Although the trial focuses on Johnson, he's not the only one who is being terrorized by demons. We also get to see the young boy David Glatzel who is possessed by the devil.

The Devil Made Me Do It gets its subtitle from the real-life Johnson trial where he said those same words. The Warrens were largely involved with his case in an attempt to exorcise him from his demons.

The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is directed by Michael Chaves, who previously worked on The Curse of La Llorona. The film will bring back Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren. The movie is scheduled to premiere in selected theaters and on HBO Max on June 4, 2021.
