The Batman Star Jeffrey Wright Possibly Confirmed Robert Pattinson Film has Started Production

It's no secret that The Batman is one of the most highly anticipated DC films that people are looking forward to. But is it possible that the Robert Pattinson movie has already started production? Jeffrey Wright may have revealed that he's about to start filming for the Matt Reeves flick.

Wright recently took to Twitter to complain about having to deal with jet lag. Interestingly, the post teased at his new destination. Take a look at his tweet below.

"Woke up jet lagged at 10pm thinking I was late. 4:45am now. Off to Gotham," Wright wrote before adding a bat emoji.

It's an awesome tease considering that fans are already hyped up about The Batman. After all, it's a completely new take on the Caped Crusader that will be set in its own DC Universe. In addition to that, the film will re-introduce several beloved villains for Batman to go up against. Needless to say, we can't wait for more updates from Wright and his other co-stars in the future.

Wright has been cast as Commissioner Jim Gordon alongside Pattinson's Bruce Wayne. They will be joined by Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as Penguin, and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone. The most recent addition confirmed by Reeves as Peter Sarsgaard, who is expected to play Harvey Dent aka Two-Face.

The Batman is currently in pre-production and is scheduled for release on June 25, 2021.
