The Batman Script Officially Rewritten By Oscar Winning Writer

It's official. Not only is The Batman losing its original director, Justice League star Ben Affleck, it's also losing its original script.

Yesterday after word broke out that Affleck was stepping down from his post as The Batman director to focus solely on his role as the Dark Night, rumor had also started to spread that the controversial and highly anticipated DC Expanded Universe (DCEU) film would get its script rewritten.

The executives at Warner Bros. Studios had been very unhappy with the script collaborated on by Geoff Johns and Affleck, making many speculate that a rewritten script was needed for The Batman.

Now, according to a report by Deadline, a rewritten script for the film has just been submitted by the Oscar-winning scribe of Affleck's Argo, Chris Terrio.

Though this may worry a few fans who see rewrites and the directorial resignation of Affleck as bad omens for The Batman, it looks like DC is doing the right thing making changes before the film actually gets down to production. After all, fans deserve the best of the best, and if Affleck sees it fit to put all of his focus on his role as Bruce Wayne, then we should trust that DC will find a good director to fill in his shoes.
