The Batman: Robert Pattinson Discusses Trying on the Batsuit

Matt Reeves' The Batman has a lot of fans excited and anxious at the same time. While a lot of us are sad that Ben Affleck won't be Batman in a good DC movie, the fact that we'll be getting a fresh look at the iconic character with Robert Pattinson has some excited. What fans really want to see is Pattinson in the bat-suit, which hasn't been revealed yet.

During an interview with Variety, Pattinson was asked about putting on the iconic costume. Funnily enough, Pattinson seemed to have a great time wearing the costume since he has revealed positive thoughts about wearing the suit. It's kind of fun to hear since it reads like someone describing something amazing they've experienced for the first time, which is fun.

"You do feel very powerful immediately. And it's pretty astonishing, something that is incredibly difficult to get into, so the ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating. You've got five people trying to shove you into something. Once you've got it on, it's like, ‘Yeah, I feel strong, I feel tough, even though I had to have someone squeezing my butt cheeks into the legs.'… You're trying to think of the way to balance, how to bring something new to it and not want to scare people off, and work in the confines of the costume."

While we still want to see Pattinson in the batsuit, it's pretty cool hearing him describe the process of wearing Batman's costume. Granted, I wouldn't want someone squeezing my butt cheeks while I put on a suit but that's just the Hollywood system. Hopefully, all of that hassle will be worth it in the end.

The Batman will be coming out on June 25, 2021.
