The Batman: Matt Reeves Has Replacement For Ben Affleck

With reactions to Justice League being mixed, there's a lot of talk regarding Ben Affleck's status with the DCEU. Previous reports have gone back and forth on whether he would be staying or not, with the actor recently stating that he was contemplating his exit. He went as far to say that he would like a "cool and graceful way" of exiting the cowl. If he does end up leaving, it looks like the director of The Batman has a replacement in mind.

According to John Campea, Matt Reeves, the director of Affleck's solo Batman films, already has a replacement in mind in case the actor ditches the trilogy. Campea didn't reveal who the possible replacement would be, but he said that it caught him by surprise. The YouTube personality said he talked to someone in the know who stated that Reeves would like this replacement to be Batman.

Given how up in the air Affleck's status with the film universe, no one can really blame Reeves for having a new actor in mind. While Affleck did commit to the series of films, his constant talk of possibly leaving pretty much forced the director to think of other options. Since fans seem to like Affleck as Bruce Wayne, a recasting will definitely be controversial.

Justice League hits theaters on November 17.
