Terry Crews Responds To Not Being The Voice Of Doomfist

The arrival of Doomfist has become sort of bittersweet for Overwatch players. Sure a lot of fans were waiting for the character for months on end, but they also wanted muscle-bound funnyman Terry Crews to voice the character—which fans didn't get.

Crews himself has been campaigning for the role, but veteran actor Sahr Nhaujah got the part instead. Crews, however, bore no ill feelings and expressed that he was still a fan of Overwatch on Twitter.

Seeing that the character was serious to the lore, being one of the leaders of terrorist group Talon, you can understand that Crews may not have been the best fit for the role. Doomfist has been presented as serious and philosophical, something that fans may not want from the powerhouse that is Crews.

Though he didn't get Doomfist, Crews will be providing his voice for another character on the highly anticipated Crackdown 3 which comes out Nov. 7.

If fans really wanted Crews to be in Overwatch though, I can see him voicing an alternate skin for Doomfist as one of the earlier wielders of the gauntlet. That would be a real plot twist from Blizzard.

But yeah, please make it happen.

Overwatch is playable for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
