Terminator: Dark Fate looks like it could be a good movie if it weren't for all the negative press that previous installments in this series have gotten. The fact that it's going to ignore everything after Terminator 2 makes Dark Fate seem like a hasty retcon that will please nostalgic fans but that's about it. Well, it seems like comic book fans might have a reason to check this movie out since Valiant and Vin Diesel's Bloodshot movie will be getting a trailer during Dark Fate's screenings.
During an interview with ScreenGeek, director Dave Wilson and producer Dinesh Shamdasani teased that a Bloodshot trailer will be coming soon. They then told fans that they might want to buy a trailer to Dark Fate, which is the least-subtle tease to a new trailer ever. Still, it should get some butts in seats, though not too much.
It's kind of sad how an unproven comic book movie's trailer has more appeal than a brand-new Terminator movie but that's just how tainted this franchise is. Many say that it started with the third movie in this franchise, which was flawed but many did like the ending. Then the fourth film came out and took place in the future, which failed to get people interested and was really dull.
We then got Terminator: Genisys, which tried to be like X-Men: Days of Future Past but terrible. Simply put, most people just don't trust the Terminator franchise anymore.
Terminator: Dark Fate comes out on November 1. Bloodshot comes out on February 2020.
