Taron Egerton Says He's Willing to Join the MCU as Any Character

Now that Disney has purchased Fox and lessened their competition in Hollywood, fans are now waiting for Marvel Studios to unveil their eventual X-Men movies. Taron Egerton has recently been the subject of casting rumors, with many hoping he eventually becomes Wolverine, which would be an interesting decision. Recently, the Kingsman actor was asked about all of these rumors and Egerton is actually eager to join the MCU as any character, Wolverine or not.

Speaking with Variety, Egerton admitted to being a huge fan of the MCU and would like to join the cinematic universe in the near future. Egerton admits that he would be willing to play any character from Marvel, so he doesn't have to be Wolverine per se.

Here is his full statement:

"I think I love Marvel and I love the movies and I'd love the excuse to get in shape and I'd love to be a part of it. I mean, whether [Wolverine's] realistic or not - I don't know."

Considering the number of characters that are in Marvel comics, there are a lot of choices for the actor to play. Egerton is young and good-looking enough to portray a number of characters from the comic line, whether it be Nova, Nighthawk, or the aforementioned Wolverine. Only time will tell.

Black Widow is the next Marvel film coming out, set for a May 1, 2020 release. We'll have to wait and see if Taron Egerton ever joins the MCU.
