Sylvester Stallone Rumored to Join ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’

There's a new rocking actor that could join the hardcore cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. On Friday, Sylvester Stallone was spotted on the Marvel/Disney film's set carrying a script, which could very well mean his involvement in the sequel to the 2014 blockbuster hit.

According to a source from The New York Daily News, the 69-year-old Rocky actor was seen leaving a hotel in Atlanta where the Guardians cast is staying. He was then spotted getting on a car commonly allotted for Chris Pratt, who plays lead character Star-Lord/Peter Quill in the movie.

Marvel Studios/Disney has yet to respond to the publication's request for comment on the rumors, but the latest photo and circumstance points to nothing otherwise.

A source reportedly claims Stallone's appearance would simply be a cameo, although I'm hoping there's a chance that he'll play Star-Lord's father even if new cast member Kurt Russell had been speculated to play the character already. Cameo or not, it would be pretty cool just to see Stallone in the film.

James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will see the return of Christ Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as Groot's voice, and Bradley Cooper as Rocket's voice. New cast additions include Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, and Kurt Russell.

The movie will hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
