SyFy's Krypton Almost Appeared in Crisis on Infinite Earths

The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover might have been flawed but it was a fairly fun event, even if the show did dip into the nostalgia pool a bit too much. Still, those dips did get plenty of reactions from fans, whether it was seeing the Tom Welling Smallville Superman, Kevin Conroy as Kingdom Come Batman, or Brandon Routh as Kingdom Come Superman and later, Superman Returns Superman.

We also saw some of the more modern DC shows, like Titans, Doom Patrol, and the canceled Swamp Thing. However, some fans were also surprised to not see Krypton take part in the crossover. For those that don't know, Krypton was a DC show on SyFy that followed the adventures of Superman's grandfather, as he fought several DC anomalies that traveled back into his timeline.

Cameron Cuffe, who played Seg-El on the show, congratulated everyone who participated in Crisis on Infinite Earths and confirmed that there were talks to include him as a cameo for the event. However, it conflicted with his schedule and Cuffe had to back out, which is a shame since it would have been nice to see him interact with one of the many Supermen who were in this event.

Honestly, we're surprised that they didn't use a clip from the show in the end during the big epilogue since they do that for all the DC Universe shows. Then again, maybe there's some sort of rights issue with SyFy but that's a whole other thing.

Krypton can currently be streamed on DC Universe.
