Supergirl Season 5 Return Date Delayed Due to COVID-19

Fans who have been waiting the return of Supergirl Season 5 will have to wait a little longer. The new teaser for the upcoming episodes confirms that the series will be pushed back to May.

The teaser for the episode Deus Lex Machina opens with Lex Luthor declaring that the first order of business is "destroying the Kryptonians." Not surprisingly, Kara Zor-El isn't happy about that. "That's not gonna happen," she says. Luckily, it looks like Kara still has some people on her side.

On the other hand, Lex appears to be hellbent on making his plans a reality. "They won't stop until they uncover the truth," he says. At one point, it looks like he's facing off against Kara but still remains unfazed. "The beginning of the end," he announces before revealing what he intends to do: "I save the world."

It's a tense preview of what will happen in the next episode of Supergirl Season 5. However, fans will need to wait until May to find out how it all goes down. The teaser also confirms that Deus Lex Machina will air on May 3.

It's not a huge surprise that Supergirl Season 5 Episode 17 will be delayed yet again. After all, the series has already been in hiatus due to COVID-19 in the past month. Nevertheless, it is good to know that we will still get to see the upcoming episodes although we'll just have to wait a little longer.

The next Supergirl Season 5 episode is titled Deus Lex Machina and will air on The CW on May 3.
