A Supergirl's work is never done. DC has just released the synopsis of the upcoming 10th episode of Season 2, and it reveals the Maid of Steel hunting the villain Livewire while training newcomer Mon-El in the ways of superheroics.
Livewire (Brit Morgan) has escaped from prison, and her first stop on the way to revenge is the NCPD. She is a formidable opponent, and it once took the combined powers of Supergirl and the Flash (Grant Gustin) in one crossover to defeat her. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) does have a backup or sidekick in the reluctant hero, Mon-El (Chris Wood). Harnessed properly, the Daxamite's abilities can equal hers; in the comic books, Mon-El was portrayed as a benign alter ego of Superboy (teenage Superman who joined the Legion of Superheroes in another timeline).
But Mon-El's priorities are different from Kara's. He doesn't think there is anything wrong about being a hero for hire, for example. The two inevitably clash - and sparks, in the form of fisticuffs and sexual tension, fly.
Supergirl 2.10, "We Can Be Heroes," is set to air on January 30 at the CW.
