Supergirl Finds Its Superman: Teen Wolf Star Tyler Hoechlin

Supergirl has found its Superman: the Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin, THR reports. Hoechlin has been cast to play Clark Kent/Superman in the second season of the show, which will be moving from CBS to CW. Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Superman would appear in the first two episodes of Supergirl, so fans won't have to wait long to see Hoechlin's debut as The Man of Steel.

"Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said. "We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character."

Hoechlin was one of the standout performers in Richard Linklater's Everyone Wants Some!! and he has that Clark Kent-ish look, so I think he's a solid choice to play one of the most iconic superheroes. Hoechlin might also appear in the epic crossover between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow.

Supergirl Season 2 will air Mondays this fall at 8/7c on The CW
