Super Mario Odyssey Update Makes Subtle Change To 100% Ending

Super Mario Odyssey continues to be one of the Nintendo Switch's best games and everyone is thankful that the game came out in the system's launch year. Recently, the game got an update that added a new mode called Luigi's Balloon World for free, which tasks players with hiding and finding balloons from other players around the globe.

Turns out the update also changed the game's 100% ending in a really subtle manner.

According to Nintendo Life, the 100% ending postcard has now added Luigi in the background. Prior to this, Luigi hadn't appeared on the card because he wasn't in the game at all. Fans were actually disappointed that he wasn't playable at all, with the closest thing players can do is wear a green suit similar to Mario's brother.

Still, Nintendo pleased a lot of fans when he was added to the game, even if it was just to add a new game mode. The fact that he appears in the ending postcard and comments on all of Mario's outfits shows a lot of effort was put into this free update.

Super Mario Odyssey is available now on the Nintendo Switch. There are also bundles of the console that come with the game.
