Stranger Things Getting An Aftershow On Netflix Hosted By Community’s Jim Rash

Big shows like Star Trek Discovery and Game of Thrones usually get "aftershows" that play right after an episode where people discuss what happens in the show and sometimes have guest stars talk about their characters. With Stranger Things being one of the most anticipated shows on Netflix this month, Netflix has decided to give ST its own aftershow as well.

Here's a sneak peek:

According to Entertainment Weekly, Community alumni Jim Rash is a huge fan of Stranger Things, and he'll be on Beyond Stranger Things as a host. Beyond will be talking about all the 80s nostalgia as well as the "wtf" moments that will be on the show. There will also be a ton of guest appearances from actors on the series as well as creators the Duffer Brothers as well as producer Shawn Levy.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It's advised that audiences watch Beyond Stranger Things AFTER they've seen the entirety of the second season. Seeing that the show goes on in-depth analysis of ST, Beyond will be exploring mainly spoiler territory (duh).

What's weird is, Beyond will also be going on for seven episodes, so are we supposed to watch an episode of Stranger Things, tune in to Beyond, then go back and watch the next episode of ST? I understand that the concept works for shows with weekly releases like StarTrek Discovery, because fans would have time to analyze what happens next, but the whole season two will be available this 27th,and I don't think people would be eager to watch 7 episodes of "what happens next on Stranger Things" when they can just easily watch the next ep.

Maybe I'm just assuming too much, and the showrunners already figured out that problem. We'll just have to wait and see to find out.

Anyway, I love Rash, and I think that Beyond is still worth tuning in for the special appearances and BTS exclusives.

Beyond Stranger Things comes out the same time as the second season on Oct. 27.
