Stranger Things 2 Will Finally Give Us #JusticeForBarb

Barb was one of the breakout characters from the first season of Stranger Things, and despite her only appearing in a few episodes, everyone has been clamoring online for #JusticeForBarb. According to the Duffer Brothers, the second season will defintelt address Barb's death, and she'll be a big part of season two.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly, the Duffer Brothers comment:

"Especially this season, Barb's a big part of Nancy's story line and that drive to — I don't know how to say it otherwise — to find justice. There are a lot of loose ends there that Nancy feels need to be addressed."

This choice was said to be made in order to show a side of Nancy that really wasn't dealt with in the last season. A huge critique after Barb's disappearance was that nobody seemed to care that she was gone—even her parents.

Speaking of her parents, Matt Duffer comments:

"You met her mom briefly last year but we introduce her dad. The only thing that bothered me about the Barb criticism was people saying her parents didn't care about her — of course they care. In their mind, Hopper has been slacking off and he's a joke of a chief."

Though Barb may not be coming back, a lot of fans have definitely fallen in love with Nancy's nerdy friend. Let's hope the second season gives Barb the justice she definitely deserves.

It's 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.

Stranger Things 2 comes out Oct. 27.
