Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Defeats Avengers: Endgame Ticket Sales Record

It will still be a little over two months before Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters but the highly anticipated film has already annihilated Avengers: Endgame. Ticket sales for Episode IX have broken the record previously held by the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.

Ticket app Atom Tickets confirmed with IGN that sales for The Rise of Skywalker are going through the roof. The outlet stated that the new Star Wars film "sold 45% more tickets on Atom in the first hour of pre-sales than Avengers: Endgame did earlier this year."

We're not really surprised considering that fans have been waiting for Episode IX tickets to go on sale for several months now. The same could be said about Endgame earlier this year since people wanted to get their tickets for the Disney film as soon as possible. Needless to say, it's best to get your tickets now so you don't miss out on what is being considered the biggest film of the year.

The final trailer for The Rise of Skywalker was dropped during Monday Night Football and it confirms that Rey and Kylo Ren would work together to fight a common enemy. Fans were quick to notice that the two are shown attacking something together, causing it to disintegrate. Although we're not yet sure what the object is, there are speculations that it could be a manifestation of Darth Sidious.

Are you ready for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker? Get your tickets now! The film is scheduled for release on December 20.
