Star Wars: The Last Jedi Director Shows Off Finished Opening Crawl


Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson gave fans a little taste of the opening crawl for Star Wars: Episode VIII. He sent out an Instagram picture of himself working on it this morning. You can see it below:

We don't actually see the content of the opening crawl, but there's The Last Jedi clear as day. Also, there's a little R2-D2 on the desk. Johnson writes "Felt so good to drop this into the cut this morning".

Presumably, Johnson had to wait until now to finish the opening crawl because of the absolute secrecy surrounding the title of the movie. But the title was officially released yesterday, so now Johnson gets to add a very important part to his movie. The title looks so nice and official in that big opening crawl font with the starry background.

Just seeing this picture really warms me to The Last Jedi as a title. What about you? Any guesses as to what's in the rest of the crawl?
