A couple of days after the second Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer was released at Star Wars Celebration, Vulture reported that the Chrome Stormtrooper first seen in the trailer is being played by Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie. Now, it has been officially confirmed that Christie is the actress beneath the Chrome Stormtrooper armor, and her character's name is Captain Phasma.
Christie, who's best known for playing Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones, is a Stormtrooper Officer in The First Order. Check out this newly-released photo revealing Captain Phasma:
