Star Wars' Princess Leia Is Perfectly Capable Of Saving Herself In New Galaxy Of Adventures Short

We already know that Princess Leia Organa is a total bad-ass who doesn't need any man to save her. Nevertheless, Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures wants to remind us once again in an awesome short featuring some of Leia's best moments from the original trilogy.

The Galaxy of Adventures short is titled Princess Leia - The Rescue but it covers so much more than the epic scene from Star Wars: A New Hope. In addition to Leia basically taking over and bringing down several Stormtroopers, we get to see her order the Rebels into action and kill Jabba the Hutt all over again. Needless to say, this is one princess who is perfectly capable of taking care of herself, thank you very much.

There's also a hilarious take on the sequence where Leia blasts a hole into the wall and shoves Luke down the chute. She then manhandles Chewbacca into the hole and when she realizes he can't fit, doesn't waste time in kicking the poor Wookiee into the chute. The look on Han Solo's face after that sequence is certainly worth it.

The Galaxy of Adventures short is certainly a fitting tribute to our beloved princess/general/overall bad-ass and we're hoping to see more of her in Star Wars: Episode IX despite Carrie Fisher's unfortunate passing. It has already been revealed that Leia will still appear in Episode IX using unused footage from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Star Wars: Episode IX has not yet been given an official title. However, the movie is still scheduled for release on December 20.
