Star Wars Has Possibly Created Major Marvel Cinematic Universe Paradox

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is understandably complicated considering the sheer number of characters and pop culture references in the films. So is it possible that a fellow Disney franchise has made things even more complicated? The existence of the Star Wars Universe may have created an interesting MCU paradox.

It has already been established that Star Wars exists in the MCU, thanks to Spider-Man: Homecoming where Ned had a LEGO Palpatine as well as a LEGO Death Star. This seemingly random fact made one Redditor question what would happen once Spider-Man encounters an actual Star Wars character.

If Star Wars technically exists in the MCU, what will Peter Parker think when he meets Mace Windu?

People had their own opinions about how this will be handled by the MCU. Some pointed out that it's possible that a different actor actually portrays Mace Windu in the Star Wars films that exist in the MCU. Meanwhile, others found themselves wondering if Nick Fury is actually Mace in disguise.

There is little doubt that Spider-Man doesn't recognize Fury as Mace Windu. After all, the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer already featured a meeting between Peter and Fury, and Peter immediately recognizes Samuel L. Jackson's character as Fury. So who plays Mace in the Star Wars in the MCU? There are some plausible theories (Wesley Snipes, Laurence Fishburne, etc) as well as completely outrageous ones (Tupac Shakur wins this one, hands down).

The meeting between Peter and Fury could be an interesting one. Will Spider-Man make any Star Wars references? If he does, it's going to be hilarious.

Spider-Man: Far From Home premieres on July 5.
