Star Wars: Episode IX Leaked Title Is Very Different From What Fans Would Expect

Lucasfilm might be keeping Star Wars: Episode IX's secrets under lock and key right now, but without any official Star Wars trailer to keep them going, fans have been turning to whatever leak and rumor they can find about the third and final Star Wars sequel trilogy installment.

Now, as fans continue to wait for a title reveal for Episode IX, a new "leak" makes its way online, this time thanks to 4chan (via Express). This new leak originates from the same Star Wars fan who detailed a scene-by-scene breakdown of what is claimed to be the mysterious teaser trailer for the upcoming film believed to be released during this year's Star Wars Celebration.

However, while some might expect this supposed title leak to follow the tone of other rumored names for Episode IX like A New Order, Son of Darkness, and The Last Hope, this one takes on a different direction, saying that the title might actually be A Light In The Dark.

Not only is this alleged title for Episode IX longer than most guesses, but it also takes on a much different tone than the rest.

Of course, fans ought to take this report with a grain of salt. Not just because leaks and rumors online should barely be trusted, but also because this Star Wars fan's so-called teaser trailer leak has already been widely debunked by others on 4chan and Reddit.

However, there has been talk that the title for Episode IX would turn out to be totally different than what most fans would expect. The new leak has that going for it, we guess.

Star Wars: Episode IX premieres December 20, 2019.
