Star Wars Episode IX: A Better Look at Kylo Ren from Leaked Concept Art

Some concept art for Star Wars Episode IX has leaked recently, and one of the images shows a possible new look for Kylo Ren. The initial art that leaked was blurry but Reddit user AndrewBurt120 has put up a recreation of the concept art which may give us a closer look.

If anything, it's a mix of both Kylo's appearances from The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, what with the flowing cape and hood. The original piece actually had Kylo holding his crossguard saber, but that isn't in the recreation. My guess is that this was a photo from TLJ with the hood just photoshopped on.

There are actually rumors going around that though Kylo's helmet does make a return, there seems to be some red adhesive used to stick the mask back together. I guess for visuals, it would look like Kylo's scars have made their way from his face onto his mask. Kylo's character arc has been one of the most interesting ones in the saga, and it's wondering what kind of conflict is growing inside him what with assuming control over the First Order.

For now, Lucasfilm has remained tight-lipped about any reveals for Star Wars Episode IX; we don't even have an official title yet. Hopefully come Star Wars Celebration this April, we get a title reveal and a full-on trailer. With us having to wait this long, a short teaser would just be insulting.

Catch Star Wars Episode IX in theaters Dec. 20.
