Following the news that terminally ill Star Wars superfan, Daniel Fleetwood, has passed away, The Force Awakens star John Boyega has paid tribute on Twitter.
Back in July, Daniel was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma, which is a rare form of tissue cancer, and he was only given a couple of months to live. Since then, Daniel has been worried that he might not make it until the The Force Awakens' release on December, which led him and his family to begin The Force For Daniel Campaign.
Thanks to J.J. Abrams, Disney, and Lucasfilm, Daniel was able to watch an unfinished cut of the film a couple of days before he passed away.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in theaters on December 18, 2015.
