Star Wars Actor John Boyega Has Watched Too Much Anime in Quarantine

With John Boyega having put Star Wars behind him, the actor is ready to take on some new roles. With quarantine effectively putting every actor out of work though, Boyega has admitted that he's spent most of his time in isolation just watching anime. Just in, he's posted the results of his binging on IG.

Check it out:

It's not really much, just a video of Boyega and his older sister Grace gearing up for an anime clash a la Naruto and Sasuke. Besides the Avatar caption, you'll also notice the Attack on Titan mug which Boyega had also shared online before.

It's very interesting that Boyega should also mention Avatar: The Last Airbender because he's been vocal about wanting a part in the Netflix show would they have one for him. If they aren't creating any original characters for him to play though, I think Boyega would actually make a good Jet if he was cast. He's already played a freedom fighter before, and it also gives Boyega a chance to return for a second season.

In the meantime, Boyega is set to star in an episode of Small Axe which is said to tackle Black British History. With Boyega doing some real-life activism when it comes to the #BlackLivesMatter movement, it's pretty great to see him taking on some roles that also have more meaningful messages to impart to audiences.

We don't know exactly when Boyega's episode of Small Axe comes out, but it is set to hit BBC later this year.
