We'll finally catch our first glimpse of Star Trek: Discovery today. CBS executive Les moonves has announced that the first trailer for Star Trek: Disocovery is "coming today."
Today, CBS is expected to present its "Fall Upfronts", which will confirm the lineup of all their Fall 2017 shows. It will include Star Trek: Discovery. Entertainment Weekly's James Hibbard confirmed on Twitter that the first trailer will launch today.
The dog of Star Trek writer Nicholas Meyer teased that something is big is coming in Star Trek: Discovery by tweeting "the calm before the iron storm."
Star Trek: Discovery is a prequel set about 10 years before hte original Star Trek. While former showrunner Bryan Fuller previously said that the Romulans would have a significant role in the show, some reports hinted a large number of Klingons in the cast. This has lead fans to speculate that Discovery will center on a secret peace mission between the Klingons and the Federation.
