Spider-Man: Far From Home Star Tom Holland Reveals Awesome Nickname For Robert Downey Jr

There is little doubt that the stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have grown close after working together on several films. Not surprisingly, they have certain pet names for each other. Spider-Man: Far From Home star Tom Holland has just revealed his own nickname for Avengers: Endgame co-star Robert Downey Jr. and it's certainly a fitting one.

Holland recently spoke to Marvel Entertainment about his upcoming movie and he somehow revealed that he had been FaceTiming with Downey, who wished him luck. When asked if the Sherlock Holmes 3 star had a "special name" on Holland's phone, he shared how he lists Downey in his directory.

"He's The Godfather on my phone. He's like RDJ the Godfather, that's what I have him as," Holland said.

We certainly wouldn't argue with that. After all, Downey was the first star to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it all started with his 2008 film Iron Man. Calling Downey "The Godfather" is certainly the best nickname for the actor.

While Downey is a true mentor to Holland in real life, there is little doubt that Tony Stark had a similar relationship with Peter Parker in the MCU. This is why Tony's death in Endgame will have a huge effect on Peter in Far From Home. Nevertheless, there is a possibility that Tony will continue to help Peter although he is no longer around.

There have been speculations that Downey will have a small cameo in Far From Home. It might be a brief scene but it could be something to look forward to next week.

Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 2.
