Spider-Man: Far From Home Director's Cut Reportedly Set For Theatrical Release

Got any plans for Labor Day Weekend? You might want to head for the theaters to watch a new cut of Spider-Man: Far From Home. The director's cut of the Tom Holland film is reportedly being released to theaters at the end of August.

The intel comes from Reddit where a user who claims to be a theater manager revealed that they have received an email from Sony Pictures.

"On August 30th, for Labor Day Weekend, Sony Pictures Entertainment will be reissuing a Director's Cut of Spider-Man: Far From Home into theaters across the country. This Director's Cut will feature unseen footage added back into the film for an all-new Spider-Man experience. There will be a major marketing campaign behind this new cut, so we are asking for everyone's support in playing the picture in both regular and PLF screens," the email read.

This certainly sounds like something that Marvel would do considering that Avengers: Endgame was re-released with deleted scenes before the premiere of Far From Home. It could mean that the Director's Cut will include scenes that had to be taken out of the Spider-Man film, including the sequence that appeared in the trailer but didn't end up in the theatrical release.

Although we're certainly looking forward to seeing the Far From Home Director's Cut, it's important to point out that Sony Pictures had not made an official announcement just yet. For now, it would be best to take this with a grain of salt.
