Spider-Man: Far From Home Director Wants Kraven For the Next Movie

Spider-Man: Far From Home is being hailed by many as one of the biggest surprises to come from the MCU, especially after Avengers: Endgame and, if we're being honest, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Sure, it's not as good as Spider-Verse but the fact that it's a very good MCU film that just happens to feature Spidey as the lead is far from a bad thing.

Minor Spoilers for Spider-Man: Far From Home

Now that Far From Home has come and gone, we're going to need a new villain for the next film with Mysterio out of the picture. While fans come up with great theories that could lead to their favorites coming to the big screen (come on Stilt-Man), director Jon Watts has a suggestion that no Spider-Man can hate: Kraven the Hunter.

During an interview with Uproxx, Watts had this to say about the next potential Spidey villain:

"I mean, yeah, I always just try to start with what haven't we seen before? And there's so many Spider-Man villains. I mean, the fact that I got to, in a way, bring Hydro-Man and Molten Man to a movie, really, I get a kick out of that, even if they are fake. But, no, I don't know who's next. I always like to think about it in terms of what's going to be the most difficult thing for Peter. So that's going to be the next trick."
"Oh, I would love Kraven. It's just the trick of how do you do Kraven in a movie?"

It would be easy enough to frame Kraven as an anti-hero since - MAJOR SPOILERS FOR SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME - everyone thinks he's a bad guy now. Mysterio did frame him after all, even revealed his secret identity to the world, so it's going to be interesting to see just how Peter reacts to a world that hates and fears him.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is now showing in theaters.
