Sophie Turner Wants Game of Thrones Iron Throne For Sansa And Westeros For Jon Snow

Sophie Turner might think that Sansa Stark is strong enough to become a ruler, however the Game of Thrones star doesn't think her character should end up sitting on the Iron Throne.

Now that the fantasy epic is drawing close to its second to the last season on HBO, fans are beginning to draw lots on which character's going to end up ruling Westeros and it looks like Game of Thrones cast are joining in.

Speaking in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Turner, Kit Harrington, Maisie Williams and Isaac Hemsptead-Wright all come together to decide which remaining Stark child ought to sit on the iron throne and which should end as King of the North. Though most of the answers varied, Turner's stood out the most – while the actress thought Sansa should be the head of Winterfell (it is her birthright), she doesn't think that the eldest female Stark should rule over Westeros.

"I think the Stark that should rule Winterfell is Sansa because she deserves it and she's a natural born leader," Turner said. "But I don't think she really wants the Iron Throne at all. Winterfell is just perfect for her. Jon Snow should be on the Iron Throne out of all the Starks. He's kind of got the whole package and has a great team around him. I think he'd be quite a good king."

Last week, Turner also hinted that there'd be some power play between Jon and Sansa in the seventh season of Game of Thrones, so it comes as no surprise that the British actress would want Sansa to rule over Winterfell.

Game of Thrones season 7 premieres on HBO on July 16 at 9:00 pm.
