Earlier this week, Tom Holland revealed that title of the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming is Spider-Man: Far From Home before it was officially released, and now Sony Pictures is confirming that it's true.

Today, the studio officially confirmed (via Deadline) the title Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is meant to be the sequel to last year's Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The title was initially revealed by Holland on an Instagram post. The 22-year-old British actor shared a video from ACE Comic Con in Seattle, where he apologized for the lack of announcements about the upcoming sequel but he didn't leave fans empty-handed though as he revealed the sequel's title when he lifted up an iPad that revealed what looks to be the film's script. According to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, Far From Homehas multiple meanings.

The film is scheduled to begin filming next month in London, and it will star Jake Gyllenhaal as the villain Mysterio.
