Solo: A Star Wars Story Gives Chewbacca His Own Theme Music

Star Wars and epic music go together like peanut butter and jelly, so there are expectations for this month's Solo: A Star Wars Story to have good music. The film is already at a disadvantage for not having John Williams, who only seem to compose music for the main episode installments, but the spinoff will do one thing none of the main films have; give Chewbacca a theme song.

During a Q and A session on Twitter, Ron Howard revealed that Chewie will be getting his own theme song courtesy of Solo composer John Powell. It's actually surprising to know that he has not had an iconic theme song for all these years, though we can't say for sure if his Solo music will be that good.

As any Star Wars fan will tell you, the music for each installment has a place in their hearts. Even The Phantom Menace has that sweet track that plays during the final battle, which is still fun to listen to. Chewie getting his own theme music is a long time coming but we'll have to wait till Solo comes out before we compare it to The Imperial March.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25.
