Shazam Star Zachary Levi is Looking Forward to Epic Fights with Black Adam

Shazam and Black Adam have always been at odds with each other and now that the Mighty Adam is finally going to make his way to the DC Extended Universe next year, Shazam! star Zachary Levi can't help but hope for some epic battles with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's anti-hero.

Sure, DC's live-action Shazam might have said that he doesn't really expect Shazam and Black Adam to share the same space for a good while, Levi seems eager for a showdown now that Black Adam is releasing next year.

Speaking with fans on Instagram (via Screen Rant), Levi couldn't help but express his eagerness over the possibility of a showdown between Captain Marvel and Khem-Adam.

"Maybe we'll get to pay off all of those Captain Marvel/Black Adam epic fights and storylines from the comic books," the actor said on his social media handle.

Of course, they will. Having Black Adam and Shazam in the same cinematic universe can only mean one thing – a showdown between one of DC's biggest archnemesis.

Black Adam's preproduction has been put on hold thanks to the spread of the novel coronavirus, so we don't have that much information about the upcoming film. We do know however some of the basics. The film is going to be helmed by Spanish director Jaume Collet-Sera and is going to feature one of Hollywood's leading action stars, Dwayne Johnson.

We're not quite sure when exactly Black Adam is going to begin production now that we're experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic, but hopefully things are going to start rolling once the virus' curve flattens.

Black Adam is set for release on December 22, 2021.
