Shazam! BTS Photo Reveals Superman's Real Face

There is little doubt that people were mildly disappointed when Shazam! concluded without showing Superman's face in the final moment. Luckily, we now get to see what the Man of Steel actually looked like in a surprisingly behind-the-scenes photo.

In the last few minutes of Shazam!, Freddy Freeman is forced to eat lunch on his own. Luckily, his foster siblings join him and the students are shocked when Shazam (or Captain Sparklefingers) shows up to announce he's friends with Freddy. In addition to that, he has invited another friend to join them and Freddy is surprised to see Superman walking over to sit with them.

The image was shared on Instagram by stuntman Ryan Handley, who is shown standing alongside Zachary Levi while wearing the iconic Superman suit. Check it out below.

OK, so this definitely confirms that Henry Cavill didn't have time to squeeze into his costume again for a faceless cameo in Shazam! earlier this year. Nevertheless, it gave Handley a cool gig where all he had to do was walk into a cafeteria with a tray in his hands, no complicated action sequence required.

But what are the chances that Cavill might actually show up in Shazam 2? For now, it seems unlikely considering that there are uncertainties about the Witcher star reprising his role as Clark Kent anytime soon. Hopefully, we'll get some good news soon.

The Shazam! sequel is currently in development with director David F. Sandberg returning to helm the project. However, it has not yet been given an official release date.
