Set Photos from Jon Favreau's Star Wars Series may have Hinted at a Return to Tatooine

Though we only have one Star Wars movie in production right now, Lucasfilm is also working on a live-action series with director Jon Favreau. Some set photos have leaked online thanks to Making Star Wars, and it may have confirmed a return to the desert planet of Tatooine.

Of course, it's possible that this could be a stand-in for another planet, but the arches and aesthetics unmistakably look like Tatooine. You can even spot some familiar moisture vaporators—the same kind you can find in the old Lars moisture farm.

We don't have any official confirmation yet, but rumor has it that Favreau is working on a series that will deal with the Mandalorians a.k.a. the warrior people who Boba Fett is said to have descended from. If you watch any of the TV series like Clone Wars or Rebels, you'll know that there's a lot of political drama to pull out of their story, and that's what Favreau could be tapping into when it comes to this series.

Then again, I would also love a Bounty Hunter series for Star Wars, and it's possible that the Mos Eisley Cantina could be a common hub for outlaws looking for a job. I'm just hopeful that they manage to cast familiar faces from the films to appear in the show like Alden Ehrenreich's Han Solo.

Favreau's series still has no release date, but it's set to premiere alongside Disney's upcoming streaming service which is aiming to launch sometime in 2019.
