Second Trailer for Shazam! is Coming January 19

We were promised a new trailer for Shazam! come the new year, but it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer for the preview to drop.

According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, the second Shazam! trailer will be coming out on January 19, which is more than two weeks away.

We don't really know the reason for the wait, but maybe WB is just trying to keep the focus on the release of Aquaman for now. With the ridiculous success that the movie is getting though, I would think that they would just go ahead and hype Shazam!, then again, it could be the other way around and they didn't want the new Shazam! preview to be overshadowed by all this Aquaman buzz.

With Shazam! set to come out in April, it's high time that WB should drop a new preview. For now, all we have of the movie is the Comic-Con trailer, and though that's fun and everything, we want to see more of what this film has to offer. We haven't even gotten a decent look at Mark Strong's villain Doctor Sivana yet.

The DCEU may have stumbled after the release of Justice League, but the franchise has found some solid footing once again with Aquaman. Hopefully with the likes of Shazam! and Joker coming this year, DC will keep going with this winning streak. We don't want another JL situation on our hands.

Catch Shazam! in theaters April 5, 2019.
