Ruby Rose's Batwoman Series Nabs Game Of Thrones Director

It looks like Ruby Rose is ready to star in her own The CW show. The highly anticipated Batwoman series has just nabbed a Game of Thrones director to work on the pilot episode.

According to Entertainment Weekly, David Nutter has just been confirmed to helm the Batwoman pilot. In addition to that, Caroline Dries of The Vampire Diaries is officially attached as showrunner while Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, and Sarah Schechter will serve as executive producers.

Nutter's involvement in the pilot is certainly a welcome one. After all, he is known for his work on several pilots including Supernatural, Roswell, Dark Angel, The Mentalist, and Shameless. However, Nutter's true claim-to-fame is his impressive episodes for Game of Thrones. He famously worked on the Season 3 episode The Rains of Castamere, which featured the Red Wedding. Nutter also received a Primetime Emmy Award for Season 5's Mother's Mercy.

The description for Batwoman reads as follows:

"Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate Kane (Rose) soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city's criminal resurgence. But don't call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope."

It is still unclear as to when the Batwoman pilot will begin production. However, if the episode gets great reviews, it is expected to get a series order in the next season on The CW.
