If you love pop-culture, high chances are you're a fan of Adult Swim's Robot Chicken. With April barely a week away, RC has now released their sponsored content poking fun at the upcoming Shazam! from the DCEU.
We don't really have confirmation, but it kind of sounds like they had Zachary Levi and Jack Dylan Grazer voice the characters of Shazam and Freddy in these shorts. With the two currently busy going around and promoting the film, you'd think they'd have enough time to do a little bit of recording for a Robot Chicken promo.
The review embargo had been lifted for Shazam!, and a lot of critics are saying great things about the movie. This should come as great news for fans, seeing that the DCEU has been having a hard time getting its feet on the ground ever since Batman v Superman. Now it seems that the franchise is slowly recovering from the ashes of Justice League from 2017.
Hopefully moving forward DC will have a steady stream of ‘good' films to give the audiences. While I'm okay with the fun tone they're introducing with films like Aquaman and this one, I'm hoping they get back on the more ‘mature' stories that Zack Snyder was trying to push forward with. I know it's not for everyone, but after the MCU, I think DC needs to be a bit more experimental when it comes to their content.
That Joker spinoff looks amazing though.
