There’s still no word from the Rick and Morty production team on when exactly the insanely brassy and improvisational science fiction animated series is going to return with its third season, however it looks like the production team’s just released a fun new video to appease the series rabid fans.
Running with a digitalized version of the Rick and Morty theme song in the background, the new video shows Rick and Morty running around in a videogame version of the series opening. It’s a pretty fun ride, and though it lasts only 30 seconds, fans would definitely enjoy the little references to the best episodes of the series.
Remember Ice-T and the giant heads in Get Shwifty? Or Fart from the Chips and Blitz episode, Mortynight Run? Sure it isn’t a release date, but it’s still pretty neat picking up on some of the zaniest characters from Rick and Morty in the video.
Who knows, Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland meant it as a little throwback to the weirdest moments in the series before giving word on Rick and Morty season 3’s premiere.
