Rian Johnson: Don't Expect Chris Evans to Come Back for the Knives Out Sequel

The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson had struck gold again when it came to Knives Out, and a sequel has already been greenlit with Johnson set to work on it very soon. One of the best things to come out of the movie was the meme of Chris Evans wearing a cozy sweater, but fans shouldn't expect Evans to make a comeback in the next film.

Talking to MTV News, Johnson was asked whether Evans would be back for the sequel to which Johnson replies, "I'm sorry! We have to find the next Chris and his sweater for the next one. I know it is tough, man."

While we don't know who Johnson could be thinking about when it comes to this sequel's "cozy cool guy," some fans are already hoping that he would work with Star Wars' Adam Driver. The two seemed to get along well at the Oscars, and everyone would love to see the two working together again. Heck, the should bring back Daisy Ridley if they could. She already starred in an Agatha Christie piece, Murder on the Orient Express.

We don't know where this Knives Out sequel could go, but we do know that Daniel Craig will be returning as Benoit Blanc. It's likely he's going to be working on another mystery, but seeing that Johnson likes to play with his genres, it would be fun to see what he could bring to the table with the sequel. Maybe it can be a treasure hunt this time? A heist? I'm just spit-balling here.

No release date has been announced for the sequel of Knives Out.
