Powerful Magic: The Gathering Cards Banned in Standard and Modern

Wizards of the Coast has made an early announcement for the updated Magic: The Gathering banned and restricted list. And shockingly, they've slammed the ban hammer on metagame-defining Standard cards: Smuggler's Copter, Emrakul, the Promised End, and Reflector Mage. They've also banned Gitaxian Probe and Golgari Grave-Troll in Modern format. Gitaxian Probe is a key card in Infect and other competitive Modern decks, and Golgari Grave-Troll is a key card in Dredge.
