There's a lot of iconic characters in pop culture history, but it seems like a new poll's crowned Indian Jones as the greatest movie character of all time.
Total Film (via Hindustan Times) just asked movie watchers who they think is the greatest movie character of all time, and it looks like George Lucas and Steven Spielberg's swashbuckling adventurer's managed to win the top spot, beating both Batman and Han Solo. Listing down a hundred characters, here are the top 25 movie characters on Total film's new poll.
1. Indiana Jones
2. Batman
3. Han Solo
4. Ellen Ripley
5. James Bond
6. Travis Bickle
7. Hannibal Lecter
8. Gandalf
9. The Joker
10. Princess Leia
11. Rocky Balboa
12. Sarah Connor
13. The Bride
14. Michael Corleone
15. Jules Winnfield
16. Tyler Durden
17. Maximus Decimus Meridius
18. Spider-Man
19. Harry Potter
20. R P McMurphy
21. Iron Man
22. Loki
23. Darth Vader
24. Gollum
25. The Dude
Indy is a pretty good pick, but we'd have to say that this list might be a little bit biased. Why is Darth Vader way down at 23 and where in the world is Super Man? Can Indiana Jones really beat Batman? Debuting in 1981's Raiders of the Lost Ark, the Indiana Jones franchise might have managed to do pretty well for itself, but it's still hard to imagine Indy beating Darth Vader.
